Remote production monitoring

MEI Group's factory output monitoring system uses LoRa IoT technology to collect, transmit and display real-time production data. The terminal devices record output, machine status and send data to the central Gateway via long-range LoRa connection. Data is displayed directly on the industrial LED panel, and synchronized to the MEI ECO Cloud, Web and App platforms. The system supports incident warnings, data storage in case of network outage and analysis of production performance, helping to improve the efficiency of factory management and operation.

1. General introduction

Factory output monitoring system MEI Group designed to collect, display and transmit real-time production data. Technology application solutions LoRa IoT for long-range, coherent wireless data transmission industrial LED panels, LAN connection, and Internal AP to ensure continuous, accurate and stable monitoring.

2. System structure

  • Measuring device – Node LoRa:
Each production line or area is equipped with an IoT device using a module LoRa RA-02/RA-07 to collect:

    • Output (counting pulse or switch/optical sensor)

    • Production speed, machine status

    • Up/down time

  • Central gateway:
    The central device (STM32/ESP32) has:

    • LoRa receiver receive data from nodes

    • LAN port or WiFi AP Connect to a local network or the Internet

    • MQTT/HTTP communication Sync data up MEI ECO Server / Web monitoring

  • LED board displays output:
    Display main information:

    • Total output by shift/day

    • Output target

    • Completion rate (%)

    • Warning when output is low or equipment error

3. Outstanding features

  • Long range data transmission: LoRa connects stably within a range of >1 km, suitable for industrial environments.

  • Instant display: Industrial LED panels update every second, clearly displayed at the workshop.

  • Centralized monitoring: Gateway synchronizes data Server MEI ECO or LAN internal website.

  • Management interface:

    • Web dashboard displays output and historical charts by shift/day/month.

    • Alerts via email/MQTT when there are errors or abnormal output.

  • Automatic storage: All data is written down SD/Flash 16MB backup in case of network failure.

4. Practical application

  • Monitor output of packaging, textile, processing, beverage lines...

  • Monitor equipment performance (OEE), product error rate, machine downtime.

  • Real-time display at the factory and synchronized with the factory's operating system.

5. MEI Group platform

The system works in MEI ECO ecosystem, including:

  • MEI Gateway (LoRa + LAN + MQTT)

  • MEI Display (LED displays output)

  • MEI ECO Cloud/Web monitoring

  • MEI ECO App (Android/iOS)

→ Supply "Edge to Cloud" solution chain: from measuring equipment - transmission - display - monitoring - analysis of production data.
