Street lights and pole-mounted lighting control cabinets at dusk

Lighting solutions

Manage your lighting system down to each light

Electrical cabinets, lighting circuits and each lamp are connected to MEI ECO. On the Web/App, the operations team remotely controls, schedules, monitors power and detects abnormalities.

  • Cabinets, circuits and individual lights
  • Scheduling and remote control

System architecture

Cabinet-level and LoRa lighting control

The controller in the electrical cabinet turns the lights on and off according to each line, and through LoRa, each light can be individually controlled if the hardware is compatible. By combining the two methods, the solution can be applied to both existing lighting systems and new investment projects.

01 / Applications

From a single street to multiple areas

The solution is configured according to the current status of electrical cabinets, lighting systems and management requirements of each project.

  • Urban lighting

Streets, residential areas, squares and other public lighting systems.

  • Industrial parks and factories

Internal roads, parking lots, factories and lighting circuits in the production area.

  • Parks and landscapes

Tourist areas, campuses, walkways and spaces that need lighting according to the scenario.

  • Infrastructure and facilities

Roads, bridges, urban areas, commercial complexes and construction clusters are scattered.

02 / Direct control

Cabinet-mounted controller

Switch individual lighting circuits through relays and contactors. Monitor operating status and energy use, depending on the installed meters.

  • On/off schedules by circuit
  • Manual or automatic control
  • Main cabinet monitoring

02 / Control via LoRa

Control individual lights

Gateway exchanges data with the light controller via LoRa. If the hardware is compatible, each light is controlled and monitored individually.

  • Schedule for each light or group of lights
  • Brightness control (dimming)
  • Individual light status feedback
  • Connection to the management centerThe electrical cabinet or gateway connects to the MEI ECO server via 4G or Ethernet, depending on project configuration.

04 / System functions

Operate, monitor power and warn of problems

Scheduling, monitoring, receiving alerts and maintenance management are all done on the MEI ECO Web/App.

  • Control

Individual lights, groups of lights or the entire route

Turn on and off remotely, group lights by route or area. If the driver and controller support dimming, the brightness level can be adjusted according to the time frame.

  • Schedule

    Lighting schedule according to needs

Set schedules by hour, day of the week, holiday or individual scenario, applying to one light, a group or the entire route. The schedule can be run according to sunrise and sunset hours.

  • Diagnosis

    Detected lights operating abnormally

Monitor the power, on/off status and connectivity of each light. Receive alerts when a light is commanded on but draws no power, power is outside the configured range, or communication is lost, to identify where inspection is needed.

  • Electricity

    Monitor energy consumption

Monitor instantaneous power, cumulative kWh, per-phase voltage and current, and power factor from the cabinet meter. View data by day, month, circuit or area, and receive alerts when parameters exceed configured thresholds.

  • Warning

Know where and when the problem occurred

Incidents are displayed on the map and Web/App, with start and end times. You can send additional SMS or make calls, depending on configuration.

  • Maps and 3D

    Digitizing lighting infrastructure

Manage coordinates, light codes, routes and power supply cabinets. The 3D model takes operational data to display equipment status at the right location in the project.

  • Maintenance

Equipment profiles throughout the life cycle

Save lamp records, operating time, inspection schedule, replacement and repair history.

  • Report

    Metrics for operational evaluation

Power graph, status history and crash statistics. Export reports by time period, route or device group.

  • Administration and integration

    Decentralization and API connection

Decentralize permissions by role and area, log operations. Connect API to management system, SCADA or operations center when required by the project.

Automatic operation

Adjust brightness
to use electricity effectively

Keep bright during peak hours, dim when demand is low, and turn off on schedule. Each line and group of lights has its own scenario; Savings efficiency is compared with actual measured kWh.

  • Dimming according to time frameFor example, keep brightness at 100% in the early evening, reduce it to 70% or 50% late at night, and increase it when needed. Levels and times are selected according to lighting requirements and supported drivers and controllers.
  • Evaluated by measured powerCompare kWh numbers between time periods or routes with equivalent operating conditions. Actual savings depend on lamp type, driver, operating time and usage schedule.
  • Maintain calendar in placeThe controller supports saving local schedules and continuing to execute schedules when the connection is interrupted. Data is synchronized when the connection is restored.
